Wilson airlifted after Pocono crash

– Justin Wilson has been airlifted to Lehigh Valley Health Network Cedar Crest Hospital after being involved in a serious accident at Pocono during the ABC Supply 500—the penultimate round of the Verizon IndyCar Series championship.In a chaotic race, leader Sage Karam made heavy contact with the wall, spraying debris all over the track. As cars slowed down, Wilson went high around Karam's stricken car only to make contact with the broken nosecone somewhere near the cockpit area.Karam was able to climb from his car and is being treated in the infield care center.GPUpdate.net will provide further updates as they become available.
