Brabham earns proper Indy test

Matt Brabham will get his first proper testing run in an IndyCar at Iowa later this month. The 21-year-old Australian will test for Andretti Autosport at the Iowa Speedway on July 17 and 18, splitting track time with regular driver Marco Andretti. It will be Brabham’s first proper test outing in an IndyCar, after driving Ryan Hunter-Reay’s cat at a filming day earlier this year. “I’m absolutely thrilled,” he said. “I’ve dreamed about driving IndyCar my whole life, ever since they started racing the Gold Coast and going to the racetrack as a kid. “I am focused on [the test] and we’ll see how it goes.
