Castroneves' GP of Indy penalty reduced

An appeal by Team Penske has them coming out with a reduced penalty. appealed IndyCar has reduced the penalties assessed to Helio Castroneves following contact with Scott Dixon on the opening lap of the GP of Indianapolis. The driver was docked eight points as a result of the incident, but Dixon didn't believe it was harsh enough. Well after an appeal by Team Penske, the eight point penalty is now just three points. This moves Castroneves from fifth to fourth in the championship standings, jumping ahead of Graham Rahal. He is 65 back of the lead and just two adrift of Dixon. INDYCAR established its penalty review process for instances like these and we feel the process was a success,”...
