Filippi on top in final Detroit practice

Luca Filippi went to the top of the timesheets in a shortened final practice session at Detroit Belle Isle on Saturday morning, which saw time lost to a red flag stoppage after Sebastien Bourdais embedded the nose of his car into the tyre barriers. "It doesn't count now, but it's a way to say sorry to my guys to not getting the position we deserved," said Filippi. "It's a long race and we have to race smart."
