IndyCar: Will Power leads Penske 1-2-3 in first practice at St. Petersburg

Reigning Verizon IndyCar Series champion Will Power eclipsed Takuma Sato's 2014 St. Petersburg pole position time by 0.4sec to grab top spot in first practice for the opening round of the 2015 season. The Team Penske-Chevrolet driver had a harmless trip into a runoff area with eight minutes of the 75-minute session still to go, but emerged under his own power to knock teammate Juan Montoya off top spot by 2.3sec. They were followed by a third Penske entry, that of Helio Castroneves, as Chevrolets swept the top five slots.
