Indy 500: Hinchcliffe takes a hard hit in practice

James Hinchcliffe walloped the wall in Turn 3 in a spectacular crash during the first hour of practice Monday at IMS. Running 222mph, Hinch had something break on the Arrow Dallara-Honda and it sent him rocketing into the outside wall, shearing off the right side tires and bodywork. It slid through the short chute and briefly got on its side before coming down right-side up. Hinch was talking to rescue workers but did not hop out of his ruined racecar. It was the fourth huge crash of the month and the first involving a Honda.
