IndyCar planning September date for Mid-Ohio doubleheader

IndyCar is in the final stages of rescheduling the doubleheader at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the weekend of September 12, and is just waiting to make sure the local health situation will allow the races to go ahead before confirming the event. The dual races were scheduled for earlier this month on August 8 and 9, until they were indefinitely delayed just one week before the series was set to take on the 2.258-mile circuit. Changes to the local situation regarding the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic led to the delay, and will be a key factor in confirming the new date next month.
