Davison to race Indy 500 with Dale Coyne / Rick Ware Partnership
James Davison will compete in this year’s 104th running of the Indianapolis 500, which takes place in two weeks on August 23. Davison will be driving the #51 Honda for Rick Ware Racing, who has partnered with Byrd Racing and Daly Coyne Racing to get the last-minute entry sorted out. This is only the 31st entry confirmed for this year’s Indy 500, which traditionally has 33 entries in a full field. Even if a couple more entries are confirmed in the coming days, there will likely not be any drivers bumped out of the race this year.
