Simon Pagenaud heads Team Penske 1-2 in penultimate Indy 500 practice

Simon Pagenaud topped the speed charts with a Penske 1-2 over team-mate Josef Newgarden at end of the penultimate practice session ahead of the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500. The Frenchman carried the form which carried him to pole-position in the #22 Menards-Chevrolet, a late effort in the session saw him snatch top spot away from Newgarden with a 228.441mph lap. The two-hour post-qualifying practice is used by the teams to shakedown the cars after changing them over from qualifying trim into their race day setups and make any further necessary changes as they readjust to running in traffic again.
