IndyCar Series secures title partnership with NTT

IndyCar has announced NTT (Nippon Telegraph and Telecom) will become the new title sponsor of the series after signing a multi-year deal. The American single-seater series had been previously sponsored by the telecommunications company, Verizon since 2014 with its five-year deal ending at the end of the 2018 season. The Japanese telecoms giant began its relationship with the Chip Ganassi Racing team in 2013 for an Indianapolis 500 entry with Ryan Briscoe. Following the race, NTT Data maintained an associate partnership with Ganassi on the # 83 entry of Charlie Kimball. The partnership has since continued with CGR sponsoring Briscoe in 2014, Tony Kanaan from 2015-2017 and Ed Jones in 2018....
