Will Power beats Josef Newgarden to pole at Grand Prix of Portland

Team Penske Chevrolet's Will Power soared to a fourth pole position of 2018 at Portland International Raceway, beating team-mate and reigning IndyCar champion Josef Newgarden to the top spot. Power, who secured his 54th career pole position for the penultimate round of the 2018 season, set a 57.3467s lap in Q3, beating Newgarden to pole by 0.3410s while Alexander Rossi completed the top three, only 0.0484s adrift of Newgarden.
