Portland returns to IndyCar schedule as 17-race calendar is released
IndyCar has released its 2018 schedule which features 17 races and a return to the Portland International Raceway, which has been absent for ten years. The Portland event replaces Watkins Glen, which was added into the 2017 season as a last-minute replacement for the failed Boston race. Other changes include Phoenix moving from its late April date to the first weekend of April, meaning the calendar features two occurences of three consecutive race weekends with Phoenix, Long Beach and Barber happening in the space of three weekends, and Pocono, Gateway and Portland.
