Saavedra gets SPM seat for Toronto round
– Schmidt Peterson Motorsports will field Sebastian Saavedra in the No.7 machine during this weekend's IndyCar round at Toronto.Saavedra has started 61 races in IndyCar for an array of teams since making his debut in 2010, most recently with the new Juncos squad at the Indianapolis 500 in May.Saavedra has not competed full-time in the category since linking up with KV Racing in 2014, his best year in the championship, when he placed 21st overall.The Colombian replaces Mikhail Aleshin at SPM, the Russian having raced full-time for the outfit since the start of 2016, after completing his rookie campaign with the squad in 2014.SPM confirmed that Aleshin will be present with the team in...
