Newgarden replaces Montoya at Penske
– Penske has confirmed that Josef Newgarden will race for the team in the IndyCar Series in 2017, replacing Juan Pablo Montoya in the No. 2 car.Newgarden stepped up to IndyCar in 2012 and this year finished a career-high fourth in the standings with Ed Carpenter Racing.Ed Carpenter last week revealed that Newgarden would not race for the team in 2017 and Penske has now duly confirmed the acquisition of the young American."For any open-wheel racer – or any race car driver in general – Penske is a dream job," said Newgarden.
