Pocono gets two-year IndyCar extension

– Pocono Raceway will remain on the IndyCar calendar until at least 2018 after circuit organisers concluded a new two-year deal with the championship.IndyCar returned to the tri-oval circuit in 2013 after an absence of over two decades, with Ganassi's Scott Dixon emerging on top.The new contract was announced ahead of this year's running of the event, which will take place on the weekend of August 20/21."We're thrilled to announce today's two-year extension with Pocono Raceway – an iconic oval track with a long history of hosting great open-wheel racing events," said IndyCar chief Jay Frye."It's very clear that Pocono is one of the favourites amongst the drivers,...
