Pagenaud outlasts Daly at Mid-Ohio

– Simon Pagenaud's hopes of a victory seemed to be dashed when an unexpected caution split the field during the first round of pit stops, but a massive second stint catapulted him back to the front of the order. Quickly dispatching his team-mate Will Power, Pagenaud only needed to wait for off-sequence Conor Daly to pit ahead of him, and once the Dale Coyne driver did, the Frenchman cruised to a win and an extension of his championship lead.Pagenaud started on pole after winning the eighth Verizon P1 Award yesterday en route to his eighth career victory on Sunday by 4.1620 seconds. Power and Carlos Muñoz rounded out the podium just ahead of Ohio native (and former Mid-Ohio winner)...
