Dixon Dominant Despite Detours

It's been a while since we've had a dry, sunny, not too hot Saturday in Toronto on race weekend, but low and behold, the looming clouds blew over, and we had pretty close to perfect conditions for the field to qualify for Sunday's 30th Running of the Honda Indy Toronto. The one that made the most of the situation? Scott Dixon, who has been quietly quick, though not fastest, all weekend. The 2-time Toronto race winner pulled off a last fast lap of 59.0473 to just edge out the equally speedy and desperately disappointed Helio Castronves to capture the pole, his 2nd in Toronto, 1st of the year, and 24th on his career.
