INDYCAR: Dixon takes dramatic last-lap pole

Target Chip Ganassi Racing's Scott Dixon pipped Team Penske's Helio Castroneves for pole position on the final lap of qualifying for Sunday's Honda Indy Toronto. The defending Verizon Series IndyCar champion earned it by sneaking in a final tour as the rest of the Firestone Fast Six runners pitted. The New Zealander's lap of 59.9073 under toasty blue skies edged Castroneves by a scant 0.0352 seconds. "So stoked for Team Target – it's great to be back on the pole," Dixon said. "We haven't had a pole this year, but huge credit to the team they did a hell of a job this weekend." Castroneves couldn't help but laugh at losing the pole after pulling in with the clock...
