Hilmer to miss Bahrain GP2 race
The Hilmer Motorsport team will miss the opening round of the GP2 series in Bahrain, organisers announced on Wednesday. Hilmer had taken part in the pre-season tests with one car, running Sergio Canamasas in Abu Dhabi and Nick Yelloly in Bahrain. However, the team had not announced any drivers for this weekend's opener. There was no reason given for its absence. "Further information will be made available in due course," said GP2 in a statement. Motorsport.com understands that Hilmer, which had a partnership with the Force India F1 team, is doing all it can to join the field for the second round of the series in Barcelona.
