Kanaan leads Ganassi 1-2 in third practice at Road America
Tony Kanaan left it until the final seconds of the session to edge his Chip Ganassi Racing-Chevrolet teammate Scott Dixon to top spot in the last practice session before qualifying, as Max Chilton also impressed with P4. Kanaan set the fastest time of the weekend so far with a 1min42.6580sec lap of the 4.048-mile course, an average of 140.763mph. He was just 0.0113sec quicker than Dixon, as Will Power was again fastest of the Penske-Chevys, two tenths adrift of top spot, but two tenths ahead of rookie Max Chilton in a third Ganassi car.
