Pigot to extend rookie season with ECR

– Indy Lights champion Spencer Pigot will extend his rookie IndyCar season at Ed Carpenter Racing.Pigot, who competed at St. Petersburg and the two Indianapolis rounds with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, will make the switch to ECR for the remaining road- and street-course events in the #20 Chevrolet."I'm very excited to be joining Ed Carpenter Racing for the remainder of the season on road and street courses," commented Pigot, who recorded a best finish of 11th at the Indianapolis road course event."ECR has been very strong in 2016 and I hope we can continue to build on the success they've had."ECR team owner Ed Carpenter, who will continue to race at ovals,...
