Marco Andretti: “It’s been a dreadful start to the season”
Marco Andretti says the start of his 2016 season has been appalling, but is now focusing on improving his own performance, whatever the struggles of the Andretti Autosport team. Referring to the Long Beach results where the AA quartet finished 12th, 18th, 19th and 20th, Andretti told Motorsport.com: “We missed it big as a team at Long Beach. I think we could have salvaged it because we think we’ve found what the issue was, but until then, we were lost. “I got held up on my fastest lap in qualifying so we started 21st, but even without that, I think the best I could have been was 15th, 16th.” He explained: “I can’t go into real details but it was a springs and dampers issue.
