Power tops Long Beach FP2, as Hondas also shine
Will Power put the #12 Team Penske-Chevrolet at the top of the time sheets in second practice, but James Hinchcliffe and Graham Rahal gave Honda a timely boost. The two-time Long Beach winner turned a 67.5992sec around the classic 1.968-mile track, an average speed of 104.806mph, and his second fastest time would have put him top too. But 0.22sec behind was Hinchcliffe’s Schmidt Peterson Motorsport-Honda, while another HPD machine, Graham Rahal’s Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing #15 was third, only a further 0.06sec in arrears.
