INDYCAR: Andretti tops Indy test day
Marco Andretti set the fastest lap in Wednesday's Manufacturers test Indianapolis Motor Speedway, leading Andretti Autosport teammate Ryan Hunter-Reay as Honda cars led the Chevy runners in a session focused on verifying the suitability of the speedway aero kits of the two makes. Andretti's lap of 223.427mph set the pace ahead of Hunter-Reay's 222.047mph, while Team Penske's Simon Pagenaud was third overall at 221.293mph. Josef Newgarden (Ed Carpenter Racing Chevy, 221.124mph) and Carlos Munoz (Andretti Autosport Honda, 220.827mph) rounded out the top five.
