IndyCar reveals penalty guidelines

In its move toward greater transparency and improved clarity of its penalty procedures, IndyCar has released the 2016 edition, ahead of this weekend’s Desert Diamond West Valley Phoenix Grand Prix. IndyCar president of competition Jay Frye’s Race Control lineup of Dan Davis, Arie Luyendyk and Max Papis will be basing their judgment calls off the following rules. We suggest you bookmark this page for reference throughout the year. For most of the violations, there is a minimum penalty (Min.), middle penalty (Mid.), and maximum penalty (Max.).
