INDYCAR: Kanaan preparing for 19th season

Page 1 of 2 Tony Kanaan will turn 41 years old on New Years Eve, and once the clock rolls over to 2016, he'll have another milestone to celebrate: 19 years as an Indy car driver. Starting in 1998, the Brazilian has spent almost half his life competing in the CART IndyCar Series (LEFT: outside Bryan Herta in 1999) and its modern equivalent, the Verizon IndyCar Series, and first landed in America in 1996 when he and countryman Helio Castroneves were part of the Marlboro Latin America Indy Lights program.
