IndyCar: Honda, Firestone make significant donations to Wilson Children’s Fund

Two of the biggest supports of IndyCar racing have combined to raise a significant amount of money through charitable efforts from last weekend's GoPro Grand Prix at Sonoma. American Honda and Honda Performance Development, whose engines propelled the late Justin Wilson throughout his Verizon IndyCar Series career, pledged $50 for each lap completed by their 13 entries at Sonoma for the Wilson Children's Fund during the 85-lap event, and the final tally of $53,950 will be sent to the charity.
