Power goes first in Texas qualifying
– Will Power secured his 40th pole position in his Verizon IndyCar Series career, starting at the head of a Penske trio that swept qualifying at the Texas Motor Speedway on Friday. Power was the very first car to set a two-lap average (218.519mph), letting the entire field of 22 other cars chase it unsuccessfully.The closest anyone came were his team-mates Simon Pagenaud, clocking a 218.441mph, and Hélio Castroneves, with a 218.069.
