IndyCar: Daly a natural for SPM?
If Sam Schmidt and Ric Peterson envision any chance of Smithfield Foods returning to the Indianapolis 500 as a sponsor, then Conor Daly will get a mulligan and be in the SPM Motorsports Dallara-Honda this weekend at Detroit. At least that's the sensible way of looking at what happened on Sunday. On the parade lap for the 99th Indianapolis 500, Daly's car caught fire and he was out before the green flag waved.
