Indy 500: Huertas out, Vautier in at Coyne
Tristan Vautier got James Davison into the 99th Indianapolis 500 but now he finds himself in the starting lineup as Davison's teammate. In one of the most bizarre circumstances in Indianapolis Motor Speedway history, Vautier qualified Dale Coyne's No. 19 Dallara-Honda for Davison but will start Sunday's race in Coyne's No. 18 – replacing Carlos Huertas. RACER.com learned of the driver change late Thursday night and it's believed it was due to medical reasons for Huertas. Calls and texts to Coyne, Vautier and Huertas were not returned but local ABC affiliate Channel 6's Dave Furst also reported it.
