NASCAR penalizes JD Motorsports and JR Motorsports

Weekend mistakes prove costly for XFINITY and truck teams. NASCAR levied penalties on the No. 4 XFINITY Series and the No. 00 Craftsman Truck Series teams on Tuesday.  JD Motorsports violated the rule from Section 20.17.2.1: Overall vehicle weight, after a piece of tungsten flew off of the No. 4 Chevy driven by Ross Chastain and into the windshield of Jamie Dick's No. 55 Viva Motorsports car during practice at Iowa Speedway on Saturday. Not only did the steel weight destroy Dick's windshield, the impact damaged Dick's helmet as well.
