IndyCar confirms St. Petersburg to become October season finale
The NTT IndyCar Series has confirmed the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg will become the 2020 finale on October 25. The Floridian street course has been the regular season-opener for the series since 2011. Track action was set to get underway at the venue earlier this year on March 15, however, due to the global Covid-19 pandemic the season was put on hold until further notice. ADVERTISEMENT A major effort has been made to reshuffle the IndyCar schedule which will see the series take on 15 rounds in just four months, two shorter than a regular season.
