Carlin announces Max Chilton and Charlie Kimball for 2019 IndyCar season
Carlin has announced Max Chilton will return with the British outfit for the 2019 NTT IndyCar season with Charlie Kimball also returning on a part-time basis. The British driver joined Carlin as they entered the American single-seater series in 2018 after two seasons with Chip Ganassi Racing, renewing his ties with the team he grew up racing for as a youngster. Chilton will also be continuing his partnership with the insurance and consultancy firm Gallagher which began back in 2016. During his time in IndyCar, Chilton has racked up over 50 race starts and eight top ten finishes - including the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 in 2017 where he finished in fourth place.
