IndyCar designers awarded for work on new series aerokit

IndyCar designers have been awarded the prestigious Dino Toso award at the World Motorsport Symposium for their work on the series' new aerokit. 2018 saw the introduction of a new universal aerokit for the Dallara DW12 chassis; it was brought in to help create closer racing by reducing downforce and allow drivers to play more of a role throughout the duration of a race. Tino Belli, IndyCar's director of aerodynamics along with Dialma Zinelli, Dallara’s chief aerodynamicist and design consultant Chris Beatty were recently honoured with the Dino Toso Award for their work on new universal aerokit.
