Leena Gade joins SPM as James Hinchliffe's lead race engineer

Renowned race engineer Leena Gade has joined the Verizon Indycar series to link with James Hinchcliffe at Schmidt Peterson Motorsport becoming the first female race engineer in the US single-seater category.  The British race engineer has previously worked in GT racing and junior formula single-seater series before joining the Audi LMP1 team in 2007, in 2011 she became the first female race engineer to win at the prestigious Le Mans 24 hour race with André Lotterer, Benoît Tréyuler and Marcel Fässler, a further two victories came for her team at Le Mans in 2012 and 2014.
