Veach 'never been this close' to full-time IndyCar drive

Zach Veach has heard the rumors that he's joining Andretti Autosport next season on a multi-year deal with a big new sponsor. The Mazda Road to Indy veteran, who made two Verizon IndyCar Series starts this year with Ed Carpenter Racing and A.J. Foyt Racing (pictured below), has also heard he's joining his close pal Gabby Chaves at Harding Racing to form a two-car program. Although the Ohio native says nothing has been signed with Andretti, Harding, or any other team, optimism for a full-time IndyCar drive is running high within the 22-year-old.
