Hunter-Reay cleared to drive at Pocono

Ryan Hunter-Reay has been cleared by INDYCAR to race in today's ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway, a day after a vicious crash as he readied for his qualifying run. The 36-year-old veteran was released Saturday evening from Lehigh Valley Hospital after X-rays for his left hip, left knee and chest. He was re-evaluated and cleared Sunday morning by INDYCAR Medical Director Dr. Geoffrey Billows after sustaining what the series said in a statement were injuries to his left knee and hip.
