Dixon primed for push to take IndyCar title #5

Scott Dixon can't help but to smile at where he finds himself entering this weekend's Verizon IndyCar Series race at Mid-Ohio. With something wholly unexpected in his possession – the championship lead – the New Zealander is running counter to his normal routine of having to wage an epic comeback after suffering a dismal first half of the season. Starting with a fine third to open the championship at St. Petersburg, Dixon and his No. 9 Chip Ganassi Racing Honda team have never been lower than fourth in the standings, and that includes the Indy 500 where he finished a punishing 32nd in the double-points event.
