Pagenaud sets track record for Toronto pole

Simon Pagenaud won the pole with a Honda Indy Toronto track-record 58.9124-second lap, the defending series champion's first pole of the season. Graham Rahal's Honda (+0.3121s) broke up what was expected to be a Team Penske logjam at the top, but Helio Castroneves (+0.5221s) and Will Power (+0.6306s) locked out the second row, followed by the Hondas of Scott Dixon (+0.8846s) and James Hinchcliffe, matching his best career start at Toronto.
