Hunter-Reay fastest among cars 10-33
Ryan Hunter-Reay set a blistering pace as the fastest qualifier outside the Fast Nine, securing the 10th spot with a 231.442mph average that was almost ninth-tenths of a second faster than Dale Coyne Racing rookie Ed Jones, who will start 11th after a 230.578mph four-lap average. "It was a wild ride," Hunter-Reay said. "We just had draw in qualifying, going early with the sun compared to a lot of guys that made it to the Fast Nine later in the day when the clouds came over. But it's fine. It's Indianapolis, and the only thing that counts is next Sunday."
