Indy 500 teams scramble as bad weather looms

Wednesday was lost to winds that almost reached 50mph, Friday through Sunday could be lost to rain, and now teams are scrambling to adjust their schedules to make the most of Thursday. High temperatures blanketed the first two days of Indy 500 practice before the winds spoiled the fun, and adding to the complexity in forming a run plan for today's six-hour session, more wind and heat greeted teams this morning as they arrived in Gasoline Alley. Despite the unfavorable conditions, today could be the one chance they get to cram for qualifying and the race if the skies begin to fall over the Speedway.
