Spencer Pigot returns to ECR for IndyCar street/road course events
Spencer Pigot will return to the Verizon IndyCar Series in 2017 with Ed Carpenter Racing, joining the team for the 11 road and street course events on this year’s calendar. Pigot, 23, made his IndyCar debut last March with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing at St. Petersburg, coming off the back of his Indy Lights title victory the previous year. After making three starts for RLL, including a run to 25th in the Indianapolis 500, Pigot joined Ed Carpenter Racing for the remaining street and road course races in 2016, with a best finish of seventh at Mid-Ohio.
