New sponsor announced for IndyCar’s Texas race

Rainguard Water Sealers, a Newport Beach, Calif.-based company, will replace Firestone as title sponsor for the 600km race at Texas Motor Speedway next June. The multi-year deal, which will see the race rebranded as the Rainguard Water Sealers 600, is the first entitlement sponsorship of any kind for the company that was founded in 1969. In a press release issued by TMS, Rainguard, a manufacturer of architectural grade coatings used in the construction industry, is said to be “utilizing the sponsorship to enhance the consumer awareness and growth of the company that in 2010 developed a full line of specialty sealer products for the home improvement marketplace.” The entitlement of the...
