So comprehensive was their book of tributes and memories – Lionheart: Remembering Dan Wheldon – that on Dan's fifth anniversary, there seems little left to add. The fact that some of the proceeds from the book go to the Alzheimer’s Association makes it all the more worthy purchase. This merciless disease struck Dan’s mother, and the raw emotion he expressed in the aftermath of his second Indy 500 victory made the success even more gratifying.
