Ganassi cars dominate practice at Texas

Scott Dixon and Tony Kanaan led the only practice session for tonight’s Firestone 600, which will resume on Lap 72 of the original June event. Reigning IndyCar champion Dixon lapped the 1.5-mile oval at 214.937mph, 0.5 quicker than Chip Ganassi Racing-Chevrolet teammate Tony Kanaan, and some 1.8mph quicker than the best of the rest, Marco Andretti in the Andretti Autosport-Honda. Graham Rahal was fourth fastest for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing-Honda, with Sebastien Bourdais fifth for KVSH Racing-Chevy.
