IndyCar linked with Surfers Paradise return

– IndyCar has been linked with a return to Surfers Paradise in Australia, eight years after the category last visited the venue.A deal was confirmed earlier this week for the V8 Supercars to continue to race at Surfers Paradise until at least 2019 and Australian publication Gold Coast Bulletin reports that the circuit is eyeing a return for IndyCar."All our concern at the moment is on securing the approval through government to hold the event with IndyCars as the major attraction — 2017 is a possibility, 2018 is more than possible," a spokesperson told the publication.CART first competed at the 4.47km circuit in 1991 and the renamed Champ Cars series continued to visit...
