McLaren reveals Alonso's livery for Indianapolis 500
Arrow McLaren SP has revealed the livery that will adorn Fernando Alonso’s car at this year’s running of the Indianapolis 500. Alonso, 37, will drive the No. 66 Ruoff Mortgage Arrow McLaren SP machine for his third crack at the event, which has been rescheduled from May to August 23 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Alonso first attempted the event while racing for McLaren in Formula 1 in 2017, missing the Monaco Grand Prix, and ran competitively throughout the month of May. Alonso, whose entry was run in collaboration with Andretti and Honda, qualified fifth and led 27 laps before retiring due to an engine failure.
